In the 1950’s and 60’s design firms were looking for innovative, bold designs by younger artists. Cole + Sons Ltd. purchased “off-centre” and printed it on white, yellow and scarlet. The design was formed from the master stencil from the screen print “Beach” and turned round from horizontal to vertical. They also bought “Lasso”, commissioned by an architect. Both of these designs are now in the wallpaper department at the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester. They were exhibited in an international exhibition of wallpapers in 2013.
